Dr. Nakamoto has over 10 years of experience with a focus on mechanical and electrical engineering and software development in R&D, product design and development, industrial problem solving, consulting, and support of failure analysis and accident investigation for litigation and insurance claims.
Dr. Nakamoto has designed and developed electromechanical and software systems for clients from multiple industries including military, aerospace, automotive and consumer products involving material handling systems, structural supports, electric engine control, fuel delivery and control. He has also conducted and performed CAE projects including FEA and MATLAB simulations for numerous industrial projects and in support of litigation and insurance investigations for numerous industrial projects and in support of litigation and insurance investigations involving automotive components, tolerance stack-up in assemblies, CNC machine tools. He has developed fixtures and protocols for various tests such as product performance evaluations, accident reconstructions and design verifications. He also has directed field tests and inspections.
Dr. Nakamoto is skilled in mechanical engineering, FEA for heat transfer and stress analysis, 3-D modeling and analysis, simulations, sensors and controls, embedded microprocessors, automotive accident investigations and crash reconstruction, crash worthiness evaluations, and product durability and life assessments. Dr. Nakamoto has a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
