Machine Design Analysis

Machine Design is the application of the principles of mechanical engineering to the design and analysis of machine components such as gears, bearings, and shafts used in building machines. These machines can range from engines for an automobile to machine tools metal cutting to guidance motors for aerospace equipment. Analyses performed include stress analysis, fracture mechanics and fatigue analysis, and material performance analysis. Fusion Engineering’s experts are skilled in the application of analytical and computational methods in both the development of novel designs and the review of existing ones.

Our engineers and consultants have performed design work on a variety of systems, including but not limited to the following:

  • Sensors
  • Kitchen appliances
  • Gears for power transmissions
  • Automobile crankshaft
  • Heavy equipment wheel bearings
  • Filters, valves, compressors, and pumps
  • Fuel systems components
  • Drainage systems
  • Fluid power systems
  • Manufacturing equipment
  • Forklifts
  • Cranes
